So being born and raised in New England, I was always under the impression that Georgia was in the south, thus warm. How wrong I was. The past two nights have been about 30 degrees F and 10 degrees F. I have a 20 degree bag SURVIVAL RATING, the comfort rating is 35 degrees. Needless to say, I've been cold. Newest goal: find a new sleeping arrangement (liner, warmer bag, etc).

Bruce & I still laugh about visiting PA in the fall years ago - Bruce froze because he didn't bring warm enuf clothes and kept saying "but we were going south I thought it would be warm." guess I never passed on that story to you

Put a water bottle filled with hot water in the bottom of your sleeping bag! And sleep with less layers so your body heat can warm up the sleeping bag. You got this, Mary!

The water bottle trick is amazing, put them near your torso, knees and feet. You can do it, think about how warm you'll be when you get to New England!

In solidarity, Daisy has taken her bone outside to chew in the snow. She is trying to be as rugged as you are.
