This past weekend marked Part 2 of 3 of my crazy weekends. I embarked to Providence, Rhode Island where I met up with one of my all-time favorite people, Sophie, who is currently a freshman in the Brown-RISD program. To put this in perspective of how exciting this trip was, I have not seen Sophie in a year-and-a-half. Yes, you read that right. A-year-and-a-half. That's a long time to not see one of your all-time favorite people! To give even MORE perspective on the significance of this reunion, Sophie and I became close friends by spending two weeks in a tarp together in -14 degree weather. Yeah, we're pretty gosh darn good friends.
After arriving at the Providence Station and participating in a very loud, very joyous, and slightly tearful reunion hug in the middle of the street, Sophie and I took off towards RISD jabbering on about just about everything. The ensuing evening and day was filled with catching up, meeting new people, learning the ropes of RISD (they have TEN HOUR art classes=insanity), late-night smoothie runs, exploring hippie stores, and enjoying the company of a wonderful person.
